More Glorious June Sailing

This past Saturday, the fleets enjoyed more phenomenal June conditions: a moderate but shifty southerly with flat water made for very fast, tactical racing. To mix things up, the Race Committee set a shorter than normal course and then posting an A6 for the Rhodes 19s and an A4 for the Bullseyes!

Even with all those legs, both races were completed in under 2 hours. Some major shifts kept everyone on their toes and the Race Committee responded with two course changes which they handled with aplomb. This kept the racing tactical and exciting to the very end!

Sunday’s race started out in similar, excellent conditions, but a rogue thunder shower popped up over Cape Ann and forced an abandonment.

Here are Saturday’s results:

Bullseyes

 1st Place Norma Brettel

 2nd Place Connie Lavigne

 3rd Place Jerry Lavigne

Rhodes 19s

 1st Place Scott Hale

 2nd Place Jim Lidington

 3rd Place Kevin Lane
