Sandy Bay Yacht Club will be hosting the 2008 Mass Bay Junior Olympic Festival Granite Pier Rockport, Massachusetts August 11-13, 2008.

 

The regatta, under the guidance of U.S. Sailing and the U.S. Junior Olympics Program, is one of several events held throughout the United States to foster the sport of sailing for junior sailors, ages 8 to 18. Sailors will be racing in Optimists, Lasers and Club 420s.

Help Keep the Regatta Clean

We hereby pledge our commitment to a clean ocean by participating in Sailors for the Sea’s Clean Regattas program. By doing so, we vow to fulfill, and encourage others to fulfill, the Best Practices and Operating Instructions for a Clean Regatta as set forth by Sailors for the Sea (SFS). We will make it our responsibility to insure that the site of our regatta, yacht club and/or marina remains clean and free of debris during the course of, and following the close of, the race. We agree to let SFS publicize our name on their website (www.sailorsforthesea.org) and in printed material, as having committed to this pledge.
