Monday, August 11: Cloudy and cool, with rain dominating
the day. Winds were easterly at an average of 8 knots, and seas were 2-4'.
Tuesday, August 12: After about an hour postponement
because of strong winds and heavy seas, the Opti Green Fleet and Club 420
Green Fleet had their races canceled for the day. The Club 420s, Lasers and Opti Champ lines sailed under cloudy skies with cool temperatures and
periods of rain. Winds were northerly at 10-15 knots with 3-6' seas. The
wind died near the end of the day (and the seas were still lumpy) leaving
many sailors struggling to finish within the time limit.
Wednesday, August 13: Finally a warm and sunny day! However the winds
were light and variable starting from the northwest, and
then suddenly shifting to the east and then southeast.
