Robert T. (Bob) Eirich, 85, former owner of Cape Ann
Automotive Supply, of Charlton and Rockport, died April 12 at home.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he graduated from New
Haven High School in 1940. Upon graduation, he joined the Merchant Marines
and then entered the Navy, serving aboard an ocean-going tugboat during
World War II.
Mr. Eirich was a Mason and member of the Aleppo Shrine,
the Gloucester Power Squadron, and the Rockport Thacher Island Association.
He was the husband of Priscilla H. (Hanscom) for 62
years. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Robert J. of Belmont; and
two grandchildren.
Arrangements: Final arrangements will be completed
in Rockport.
