D. Bruce Smith

D. Bruce Smith of Rockport, MA and Prosperity, PA, died on Monday.
He was born in Belle Vernon, PA on Jan. 26, 1926, to William Bruce and Reva
Philips Smith.
He served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II,
and was a member of the Rockport American Legion. He was also a graduate of
the University of Pittsburgh.
He was the owner/operator of Plumseek Farm in Prosperity, PA.
Surviving hi, are his wife, Charlotte U. of Rockport; a sister Betty
Louise Andreen of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Duncan and Douglas Smith of
Prosperity, PA; a daughter, Heather Underwood Chandler of Long Island, NY;
and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
