ROCKPORT — Francis John Farrenkopf, Jr., 70, husband of Alice M. (Gniewek)
Farrenkopf, of Rockport, died on Tuesday morning, January 3, 2012.
Frank was born in Roxbury on August 19, 1941, son of the late Francis John
and Rita A. (Lavin) Farrenkopf. He was a former Gloucester Public School
Teacher and former Professor at Bunker Hill Community College.
In addition to his wife Alice of 44 years, he is survived by his five
children, Dr. Anna Farrenkopf and wife Dr. Mireille Kolthoff of the
Netherlands, Kristin McCauley and husband William of Dracut, Alane McNamara
and husband William of Burlington, VT., Daniel Farrenkopf and wife Misha
Mytar of Sullivan, ME., Julie Beth Lees and husband Christopher of Naples,
ME.; seven grandchildren Sarah, Jeremy, Amy, Meridith, Justin, Caitlin and
Rita Blanche.
ARRANGEMENTS: At his request, there are no funeral services. Memorial gifts
may be made in his name to the Friends of Rockport Council on Aging, 4
