ROCKPORT — Ruth H. Carlson, of Rockport, wife of the
late Bennett D. Carlson, died on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 at her
residence.
She was born in Boston to the late John H. and Mary
(Morrissey) O'Reilly.
Ruth was raised in Belmont, was a graduate of Belmont
High School and continued on and received her degree from The Fay
School of Boston.
She had been employed as a management analyst at the
former Watertown Arsenal. A longtime resident of Rockport, Ruth was a
member of St. Joachim's Church, The Rockport Garden Club, The Sandy
Bay Yacht Club and a member of the AGH Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bennett, a
longtime member of the Rockport Rotary Club and Sandy Bay Yacht Club,
and her brother John J. O'Reilly Jr.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends and a
special friend and caregiver, Lori Westover.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Monday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. in the St. Joachim Church, Holy Family
Parish, Broadway, Rockport. Everyone is cordially invited. Her burial
will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport. There are no visiting
hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to:

01930; or to The Sandy Bay Yacht Club Scholarship Fund, 5 T Wharf,
