Capt. Ted was involved in many different organizations, including a 50-year member of the Ashler Lodge AF & AM, the Consistory Scottish Rites Bodies, the Edward Peterson Post No. 98 Rockport American Legion, a former Post Master of the VFW of Rockport, and also served as a member for many years on the Rockport Harbor Advisory Board.

In addition to his wife, Helen, to whom he was married for 50 years, he is survived by a daughter, Dianne B., wife of Charles Gardner Jr., of Rockport; a grandson, Capt. Brewer of Rockport; three sisters, Jean, wife of David Cameron, of Rockport, Margaret, wife of William Jerome, of Newbury, and Pauline, wife of Donald Wallis, of Marblehead; and many nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends. It is requested that flowers be omitted.

Memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Rockport United Methodist Church Stained Glass Fund, 36 Broadway, Rockport, MA 01966, or to Rockport Youth Soccer, 28 Highview Road, Rockport, MA 01966.
