Weather Conditions During the Regatta
Tuesday, August 22 - Practice Race. Sunny and warm. Winds from the south 5-8 knots. Flat seas.
Wednesday, August 23 - 3 races scheduled, one accomplished. Mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles. Winds were light all day from the North and Northeast. A postponement was necessary prior to the first start while waiting for a breeze. A start was made with winds from the North at around 5 knots, and the breeze quickly died, forcing an abandonment. After another postponement the RC was able to get one race in with winds from the East/Northeast (4 to 5 knots), although winds started to die out near the end of the race.
Thursday, August 24 - Partly cloudy, and once again light winds from the North and Northeast (average about 3-4 knots). 3 races scheduled, with 2 held.
Friday, August 25 - Cloudy and cool with showers. Winds from the Northeast to East averaging about 7 knots, with gusts to 12 knots.
